
Since it was founded in 2005 by award-winning comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster Griff Rhys Jones and producer Simon Mansfield, Modern Television has become one of the UK’s leading producers of quality Factual Entertainment and Arts documentaries for both national and international broadcasters.
Operating from the heart of two capital cities – London and Cardiff – the work of Modern Television has spanned the globe and been broadcast throughout the world: From the restoration of a 200 year old farmhouse in Pembrokeshire (A Pembrokeshire Farm & Return to Pembrokeshire Farm) to a 24 hour whirlwind tour of the world’s most magnificent metropolises (Greatest Cities of the World Series 1 &2). We have explored a variety of countries and cultures and worked with a diverse assortment of entertaining and engaging individuals, including Joanna Lumley, Jeremy Paxman and Jack Dee.
In 2009 and 2010 the company was awarded the Fast Growth 50 award for ‘Creativity and Knowledge’ in recognition of our rapid development and success - and we haven’t slowed down since…
